Tampa Bay Prepares For Final Tuneup

The Bucs will face Washington in DC for their final preseason game on Wedneaday night. ┬áThe main focus here will be for everyone to stay healthy and the final spots on the roster to be settled. ┬áThe starter, for the most part, will sit out this game, so this won’t hold much excitement except for the most die hard fans. Still, I’ll make sure to have a recap with any noteworthy tidbits from the game, as well as a full post about the final roster of 53 which should be announced shortly after the game.

In other non-surprising new, Doug Martin won the starting running back job over Blount. Martin has been praised for his work ethic and superior skill set, even being compared to Ray Rice by Coach Schiano, who of course coached the Ravens stud while at Rutgers. I still expect a decent amount of carries from Blount in at least the early stages of the season as his decline seems to be greatly exaggerated.
