Near the end of the first half of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers preseason victory over the New England Patriots, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers right guard, Davin Joseph, went down with what is being called a serious knee injury. The 28 year-old guard was a team captain and a two-time pro bowler, and if he is lost for a significant amount of time, his absence from the offensive line will be a significant loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Based on the comments from Greg Schiano, the Buccaneers coach, he stated that the injury wasn’t good and that Joseph will be in his prayers tonight. Without knowing the full extent of the injury, that does leave us to believe that the injury may be more serious than a torn ACL, which players typically heal from in a year.
As of now all we can do is speculate about what happened to Davin Josephs knee, but hopefully it is nothing major and he can return to form sooner than later.
